Storage When You Downsize

In short: Moving to a smaller home often leaves furniture and belongings you are not ready to part with. One of our insulated 20ft containers holds the contents of an average three-bedroom house, so you can store what doesn’t fit while you settle in and decide, renting month by month with no time limit.

Store it while you decide

Many downsizers store things while they settle into a new home and work out what to keep. There is no time limit: you pay £130 a month including VAT, and give two weeks’ notice when you are ready to empty the container. See our prices.

Looking after furniture

Our containers are spray-foam insulated to reduce condensation, which is what leaves stored furniture damp and fusty. Our guide to storing furniture long term explains dust sheets, pallets and airflow.

Getting to your things

Park right beside your container and load from your car or van. The site is open 24 hours a day; if you are coming before 8am or after 8pm, text or email us first so we have a record for security. There is no light or power inside the containers.
